1. Using Fl digi 3.21.77 or newer
2. Using flmsg 1.1.33 or newer
3. Using MFSK32 as a standard mode with a center frequency of 1000 Hz
4. turning on RxID and TXid in the fldigi program
5. Going to config / IDs and raising the presignal tone to at least 1 second.
6. Stress that a interface is not necessary as most computer sound cards will ingest the traffic at least for practice purposes
7. note that when using mfsk that it would be helpful if the squelch slider was raised to 3/4 to eliminate garble when no signal is currently present.
8. While receiving check the diamond shape display adjacent to the AFC button is Green if red decrease the receiver volume or move the speaker away from the computer.
