June 13th 2020 Drive-up testing - Filled Up

Unfortunately our June testing session is filled up and we are unable to accept any more sign-ups.

Our goal is to hold an amateur radio license testing session while protecting both the VE(volunteer examiners) and the testing candidates. To help us administer the test in the safest way possible while maintaining social distancing standards associated with current events. To do this we have implemented drive up testing.

The session on June 13th is FULL...

The first testing session will be at 2pm on June 13th 2020 in Queensbury, NY. If we have more testers than we have space for, we will have another session in the same location following that one, at 4pm. Space is limited and is first to sign up, first served. We will send you an email to confirm that you have signed up. If you have a preference to be in the second session at 4pm let us know.

The Warren County Radio Club holds sessions of technician review classes each year. It is our pleasure to help educate and usher in new ham radio operators.

At this point we have no new in person classes scheduled. Check back here and or e-mail Mickey mcorentto@gmail.com if you are interested in a no cost internet based class.

Looking to get started right away.  Below is a picture of the technician class book by Gordon West. To be successful in the class, and in passing the Technician Class license, we strongly suggest you purchase this book and read through it. It is OK if you do not fully understand some of the concepts. That's what we are here for. Bring any questions you have to class and we will go over the material with you. We also suggest you take some practice tests online before the official test at the end of the class.

Look it up on amazon or your favorite book store.  Be sure to get the most recent edition because the test questions change every 4 years.
