Thanks to Tony for feeding us. 45 burgers, 96 hot dogs, 11 pots of coffee, 2 pots of tea, 48 years of corn, 74 little pizzas, and lots more chips, doughnuts, baked beans, 4 cases of soda 4 cases of water. Thanks to everyone who helped setup and tear down, thanks to Bernie for coordinating the whole thing and geting us on the mountain again this year.
Field Day - what went right - tents and antennas fri nite,
Bus down all night, was locked-up, nobody available.to monitor, we did have stations without operators overnite. No HF antenna for bus till late (there is one in the bus)
Communicate on simplex when stations need operators, communicate in advance for county bus access, have backup plan when a station goes down. Have 2 people to monitor bus instead of 1. Question re operating other people's radios. Better monitoring of repeater and simplex (food tent?) No volunteers for night shift (unused sign-up sheet) - more stations than people. Have someone not operating go around managing stuff...use ICS structure so Field Day is practice for ARES/RACES people.
Club is at juncture...we could take things to another level, takes organization structure. We can stay at current level and have fun.
Horn at food tent to let everyone know food is ready, operators should eat first
Next meeting: location may change. Hudson Division Director 2 hr talk about ARRL. Watch for email.
